Since 1997 the Athlete Support Fund has supported provincial athletes with scholastic bursaries to advance their education while remaining active in figure skating. $70,000 has been distributed to athletes over the past 24 years.
Athletes who competed at a Skate Canada Jr/Sr Canadians OR athletes that have achieved at least 3 of the 4 Gold Test Assessments, are eligible to apply for an educational bursary. Skaters must be currently enrolled in a scholastic secondary or post-secondary program, and will continue their studies in the following school year.
