The Nanaimo Skating Club is looking for Regional or higher certified coach to join our team.
We are looking for a team oriented person to join our Head Coach. Off ice training experience is a bonus.
We have 12.5 hours a week of ice and retainer.
We currently have on ice programs running Monday to Thursday and no weekend ice.
Wage would be dependant on Coaching qualifications and experience, a range of $50-$70/hr.
We are a financially secure club in the heart of Vancouver Island. The club is located 10 minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal and we would consider highly qualified candidates willing to travel daily from the mainland with a possible travel allowance. Nanaimo skating club holds a yearly ice show and has a very supportive group of volunteers and enthusiastic, experienced executive to support our coaches.
We currently offer CanSkate, StarSkate and have skaters in the Podium Pathway program.
The club has offered power skating in the past and we could offer it again if we have a CanPower qualified coach on additional ice time.
