Job Title: Club Coach

Club: Sandy Shores Skating Club

 

The Sandy Shores Skating Club is looking for an enthusiastic Skate Canada Coach to join our Club.

Requirements

  • Skate Canada Regional Certification with an interest in pursuing additional training and professional development. Provincial or National Certification is considered an asset.
  • Skate Canada in Good Standing Coach status which includes:
    • Criminal Background Check
    • First Aid Certification
    • Code of Ethics
    • Respect in Sport
    • Skate Canada Membership
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Experience and passion for working with all levels of skaters. This includes off-ice training, choreography, private and group lesson formats.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary range between $55-$75 per hour based on experience.
  • On-ice programming for 14 hours per week with an additional 10 hours of administration time at $25-$30 per hour. Programs run throughout the year with breaks for holidays.
  • Assistance with relocation expenses.
  • Professional development funding.

Sandy Shores Skating Club is located in beautiful Parksville, BC, where you will find amazing sandy beaches, picture postcard views, world-class biking and hiking trails, salt-tinged ocean air, and small-town charm.

Sandy Shores Skating Club (SSSC) is a non-profit organization serving skaters in the Oceanside area. We are made up of a dedicated board of directors that volunteer their time to ensure that skaters in our community have a place to learn and grow in their skating career, wherever their dreams and goals take them.
