Summer Coaching

Employment Type:

Summer contract position from July 28-August 14 2025 (3 weeks total, or 1 week intervals- approximately 10 hours/week)

Sun Bowl Skating Club Board of Directors

Salary:

Hourly rate based on experience, starting at $30/hr

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as our Summer School Coach, from July 28-Aug 14, 2025. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing coaching to SBSC STARSkate members to help them improve their skills and reach their full potential on the ice during our summer school.

JOB DESCRIPTION Specific Responsibilities:

•   Provide leadership, supervision and coordination for the SFSC programs and coaching staff including all ice schedules and programming
•   Responsible for following Skate Canada coaching and program guidelines from Canskate, StarSkate & CompetitiveSkate
•   Instruction must follow the Skate Canada Program format and any specific Club directions.
•   Provide instruction to STARSkate skaters
•   Provide group lessons including freeskate, skills, dance and conditioning
•   Attend all ice sessions provided by SBSC
•   Follow the Skate Canada Program format and club guidelines. Participate in on- and off-ice classes and coaching of skaters at the STARSkate levels.

Qualifications:

•   Certified NCCP Coach -Trained Regional (level 1) Coach or higher.
•   Current Skate Canada Coaching Certification and in good standing with Skate Canada
