The Port Coquitlam Skating Club is looking for energetic, positive, and reliable Club coaches to join our team. Our growing Skate Canada programs focus on quality fundamental, and technical skating skill development. The POCO Skating Club operates with a team coaching approach where all our coaches are cooperatively led by our Director of Skating. Candi-dates must provide instruction as per Skate Canada Guidelines. Classes are offered year round at our new facility, the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, with over 400 skating members including weekly CANSkate, Shining Stars Academy, Star Academy, STARSkate, Po-dium Pathway Competitive Skate, and Adult Skate sessions.
Candidates must be:
Skate Canada Regional Coach (Level 1) Certified or higher (Minimum Regional In-Training Certified)
First Aid Certified
In Good Standing status with Skate Canada
Able to work in a team coaching environment
Show up to date Criminal Record Check
Willing to work with all skaters of all ages, and abilities
Proficiency in operating Pro-Motion hand-held jump harness is an asset
Rates range from $32.00—$60.00 per hour and will be based on experience, and coaching certification level.
