KFSC is a well-established local Vancouver Club celebrating 75 Years in the 2024 – 2025 skating season. We are looking to expand our Coaching Team for our energetic, competitive and committed skaters.
Qualifications
- Minimum Skate Canada Regional Certification or higher qualified coach to commence immediately.
- Ability to coach Skills and Freeskate at all levels and ages.
- Current good standing with Skate Canada
- Valid First Aid certification and Criminal Background Check.
Position Requirements
- *Team player * willing to integrate with Team Coaching approach.
- Provide instruction in private and group/team environment.
- Ability to coach Canskate, Starskate, Starskate Assessments and Competitive.
- Coaching Dance or Choreography also an asset.
- Ability to provide off-ice training.
- Attend skating competitions with our Club.
- Must be enthusiastic and reliable with good organizational skills.
- Able to communicate and interact professionally with Board & club members.
- Must be available for Kerrisdale FSC scheduled session times
Renumeration
- Minimum wage starting at $27/hour. Hourly rate based on coaching qualifications and years of experience.
Our Club
Our Club offers year-round skating, with sessions running typically from Mid-September to mid-March at Kerrisdale Cyclone Taylor Arena (Tues to Friday mid-afternoon/evening and Sunday morning/evening), and our Spring and Summer skating (with reduced hours) are held at Sunset and Hillcrest ice rinks from April to mid-August.
