Sandra began coaching at the young age of 19, where she helped form the Mount Arrowsmith SC in Port Alberni, BC. Jumping forward a few years later, Sandra had moved to the south end of the Island and became the founding member of the Racquet Club of Victoria FSC.
In Victoria, Sandra continued her coaching career. She had many successful skaters throughout her career. To keep them consistently working hard, Sandra encouraged having fun and bonding as a club. For example, she would plan special trips for training and one of those trips was to Sun Valley.
Sandra has left a legacy of qualities in her students, family and friends that they continue to carry on in their lives and pursuits and this is why she is being inducted as a coach into the BC/YT Section Hall of Fame.
